Safe Routes to School for Billings
The Billings Safe Routes To School Phase 2 Plan is complete!
Thank you to all of the dedicated participants who made it possible. You can download the City/County adoption draft plan in Documents on the right-hand side of this website, or view it by clicking here (Plan).
Next, the plan will go through the approval process with the city and county. Those meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Technical Advisory Committee: Thursday, February 29 at 10:30 a.m.
- Planning Board with Presentation and Public Hearing: Tuesday, March 12 @ 6pm
- Planning Board MTG/Action: Tuesday, March 26 @ 6 pm
- City Council Work Session: Monday, April 1 @ 5:30 pm
- City Council Meeting: Monday, April 8 @5:30 pm
- Board of Commissioners Discussion: Monday, April 1 @ 2pm
- Board of Commissioners Hearing: Tuesday, April 9 @9:30 am
- Policy Coordinating Committee: Tuesday, April 16

Billings, we've gotten so much great input and had so many great volunteers at our walk audits. Thank you!
Now it's time to put that intel to work! Starting June 5, the webmap and survey tools will be closed to further use while we write the plan.
Stay tuned for the draft plan. Starting in August, a draft will be available for public comment.
